Inside the Manufacturing Process
Behind every Fermob piece is a highly refined manufacturing process that transforms raw steel and aluminium into durable, design-led furniture.
The journey begins with metal delivered in sheets or coils, which is then cut, bent and shaped using precision machinery. Each component is carefully formed before being welded together to create a strong, seamless structure built for long-term use.
To ensure exceptional durability outdoors, every piece undergoes advanced anti-corrosion treatments — in some cases up to a 13-stage protection process, with additional electrochemical coatings available for high-exposure environments.
The final step is the application of a UV-resistant powder coating, applied electrostatically and baked at high temperature. This creates a hard, uniform finish that resists scratches, weather and fading while maintaining its colour over time.
The result is furniture engineered not just for appearance, but for real-world performance — ideal for hospitality, commercial and outdoor environments where durability matters.
